Problem
You share your home, but not your electricity.
People should be able to share electricity from renewable sources in apartment buildings and energy communities. But while legislation is in place, implementation is a challenge with standard market partners. In many grid areas, it is not possible to share power from renewable energy installations in apartment buildings without integrated supply (Mieterstrom) or across Energy Sharing communities at all, or only with significant restrictions.

We help you to share your power, simple and flexible.
As a service provider with a virtual balancing area, we implement gGv and Energy Sharing. Your homeowners association or sharing community determines the terms of distribution and sets sharing conditions. We ensure that the power generated in your renewable energy installations is distributed according to these preferences and that additional supply drawn from the grid is billed to the correct balancing group of the individually chosen respective supplier. We also implement Mieterstrom. We manage complex distribution processes for the distribution system operator. And our partners benefit from a standardized process across different grid areas. This allows more people to gain direct access to renewable energy faster.

Implementing new services with standard interfaces for the grid operator
- In the virtual balancing area,
- we can implement individualised supply splits for household customers or flexible consumers.

- we divide rooftop PV for participants according to their sharing rules.
- Participants individually select their preferred supplier
- for additional power supply through the power grid.
- Mieterstrom operators can show for every 15 minutes
- how much rooftop PV was part of the supply mix, increasing their transparency.

For neighbours sharing rooftop PV: gGv
Share your solar power while remaining independent in your complementary power supply. We handle the energy allocation for you and provide transparent data to you or your billing service provider. We distribute rooftop solar power according to your requirements and can also integrate flexible consumers such as EVs. The virtual sum for meter data of participating units can also be implemented within the virtual balancing area.

For RE power plant operators and Mieterstrom-suppliers
We can also provide the virtual sum for meter data while integrating rooftop PV into a full-service supply (Mieterstrom). We handle the so-called “complex meter” (komplexe Messstelle) on behalf of the distribution system operator, while ensuring standard data exchange. This reduces the workload and simplifies implementation. New services become available more quickly for people in the building.

For users of energy sharing
In the virtual balancing area, we are ready to implement energy sharing for you today. Energy supply to participants is divided, differentiating between Sharing volumes and the residual electricity supply. For each 15 minute interval, the sharing community can track how much renewable electricity was available and individual participants can see their own share of consumption. For the distribution system operator, grid fees for shared electricity and residual electricity supply are billed in total.
