In a single-family home, the electric car can charge rooftop PV power in the driveway. This saves money and benefits the energy system as flexible storage. In apartment buildings, electric vehicle drivers charge on the street or while on the go, pay more for charging, and rarely have a choice of who supplies them or at what price. Direct supply enables a free choice of supplier and tariff with standard hardware.

Process
Direct supply turns every publicly accessible charge point into yours.
- No tender required
- Publicly accessible charge spots can be opened for direct supply (Durchleitung). No tender required. Charge point operators select the locations for Durchleitung; we verify the metering requirements. We coordinate the transmission of consumption data and notify the upstream distribution system operator of the shift to direct supply.
- With mobile meters
- Through authentication at the charging point, charging sessions are assigned to the applicable tariff. To do this, we convert charging session data into energy market communication and transform each charging session into a time series that energy market partners can process automatically.
- Billing and data overview for EV drivers
- All charging sessions are assigned to the balancing group of the respective responsible supplier and appear in the user’s account dashboard.
- Direct Access
- For EV drivers without their own direct supply tariff, the usual terms and conditions of their roaming provider or direct access at the charging point continue to apply.
